"No pigeon holing this band--Blues and American Roots firmly planted, yet not like anything you've heard or seen before. The band prides itself on its ability to perform diversely and dynamically, playing every venue just right from stripped down Blues to their trademarked "Grease Punk" sound..

Coming off their busiest year to date, including relentless festival and club touring throughout the U.S. and Europe and releasing their debut CD "Dashboard Jesus" on Rip Cat Records, Black Market III is planning ahead for the new decade.   With "Dashboard Jesus" debuting at #25 and the hit single "Daddy Rollin' Stone" reaching #4 on the Roots Music Report’s Top 50 in December of 2018, as well as a nomination by the San Diego Music Awards for "BEST BLUES ALBUM", extensive touring is again on the agenda for the trio in 2020.

Black Market III crosses over, using the Blues as the root of the sound.  Having roots in Southern California, their music infuses traditional Blues with Roots Rock, Latin, and straight ahead Rock.  In addition to their original music, BMIII features more obscure covers from Tom Waits, Dead Weather, Jimmie Vaughan, Freddie King, Otis Blackwell, Leadbelly, Tito & Tarantula, Social Distortion, Led Zeppelin, and many more.  No pigeon holing this band--Blues and American Roots firmly planted, yet not like anything you've heard or seen before.

BMIII crossed the 1000 show mark since it's formation in September of 2011, electrifying audiences throughout 12 countries with their diversity and originality.  They have been recognized in their hometown of San Diego, nationally, and internationally with many award nominations in the Blues and Rock categories, being named "Rock Band of the Year" by IMP Radio in New Zealand, and among the "Bands To Watch".

Black Market III is proud to be a part of the Quilter Labs (Amps), QSC, Iconic Custom Guitars, MotorCult Clothing, Moze Guitars, Austin Ribbon Microphones, Boulder Creek Guitars, and TV Jones pick-ups families.
